Successful first half of 2018-2019 Rotary Year

Rotary International President Barry Rassin has asked each of our 36,678 worldwide Rotary Clubs to report and periodically update their 2018-2019 goals in Rotary Club Central. Our club has updated it's midyear Rotary Club Central records. So far, we are doing very well this year.

We completed 33  service projects thus far and 2500 total volunteer hours (LMR members and our partners) donated in the past 6 months towards all our community service projects such as Household Hazardous Waste, CCA Pantry, Blood Drives, our fund raisers including the flag project, car show, breakfast with Santa etc. We have many achievements of which to be proud.

But, we can't rest on our laurels. Members of our BOD have identified opportunities to improve. As we move into the second half of the 2018-2019 Rotary year and help President Elect Tom Rowe organize for the 2019-2020 Rotary year, we need members to join us in implementing our New Years Resolutions:

  1. Grow membership. Induct 6 new members before June 30, 2018 through membership inviting guests to club meetings and events.
  2. Improved member participation in club committees. Each meeting, one club committee chair will update club on it's activity.
  3. Improve fund raising by engaging more sponsor participation and identification of the key fund raisers that members wish to support.
  4. Document our processes, identify emerging club leaders and provide training to succeed.
  5. Formally recognize members that are engaged in helping the club achieve these resolutions.
