Part of his position requires him to visit Washington DC and Olympia Washington to work with legislators in making the best path forward for the airport's future. He's been both places multiple times this year so far.

One of the local pressing issues is Real ID, bonafide identification for passengers, through the enhanced drivers license. There is a looming deadline for this of 1/20/18. Also, Larry was showing us not only the passenger growth from 2013-1026 but, the cargo growth. currently the airport has 60 flights a day in and out. One new passenger perk is the Thanks Again program of frequent buyer flyer miles for purchasing at GEG or at over 100 other airports. You can find more at: www.thanksagain.com/geg.

You may have read recently in the Spokesman Review about the rail line/spur on the airport property. They are working with the city and county for a new PDA to install infrastucture to attract business to the area. They want a trans-load facility to on and off load rail cars to trucks and are working on a 20 year charter.

New things happening at the airport is an entire revamp, remodel and new construction of the terminal, baggage claim, security to keep cars out of the buildings, gas station and convenience store plus a complimentary car wash at the new parking areas.

Quite a lot of things going on, you should go look for yourself.
