2018 Scholarship applications now available

Spokane Valley Sunrise Rotary Club and The Robert B. Pendleton Scholarship Foundation, with support from Modern Electric Water Company, are offering scholarships of up to $3600 per year for tuition for up to two years.

Spokane Valley Sunrise Rotary Club is offering scholarships of up to $3600 per year for tuition for up to two years to 2018 seniors graduating from high schools in the Spokane Valley or Freeman area who are planning to attend a community college, vocational or trade school this fall and have a need for financial assistance. 


Selections are not based on G.P.A. and students (or their parents) do not need to be a member of Rotary to be considered for this scholarship.


The scholarship award can be up to $1200/quarter for the Fall, Winter & Spring quarters.  In order to continue to receive the award quarterly, winners of the scholarship must:

  • Remain a full time student in good standing (as defined by the school) while receiving this scholarship,

  • Assist the Rotary Club’s fund raising auction once a year (This year's auction is April 21st)


If the student meets all of the above requirements, the award can be renewed for a second year.

The deadline for applications is March 9, 2018. Candidates that are selected will be notified by March 16th for an interview on March 20th. Interviews take about 20 minutes.
