BF High School Students of the Month - September 2010

Each month, the Bonners Ferry High School teachers and administration honor a senior girl and a senior boy as their Students of the Month. They are selected on the basis of the student's academic achievement and on the basis of commitment and contributions to his/her community, school and family.  Winning students will have demonstrated the characteristics of the Rotary Club's "4-Way Test" --- Is It The Truth; Is It Fair To All Concerned; Will It Build Goodwill and Better Friendships; and Will It Be Beneficial To All Concerned?

Matelyn Joseph and Ben Heart, were selected and honored as Rotary Students of the Month for September.  Matelyn is planning to pursue a college education majoring in psychology for a career in counseling. She has participated in many high school activities including the book club, choir and Junior Miss. She said she is always willing to assume new challenges to further her own confidence.

Ben, the son of active Rotarian, Kathryn Star-Heart, will be attending an acting conservatory in Los Angeles to pursue his goal of becoming a professional actor, a computer programmer or research scientist, or perhaps all three. He has had extensive experience in taking the lead role in many of the high school's plays and serves as a great role model for others.

Congratulations to Matelyn and Ben for their outstanding achievements.
