Diane Rogers, owner and operator of Ace Elder Care, an assisted living facility located at 6652 Chippewa Street (across from Head Start) was our featured speaker for the noontime meeting of Rotarians. Diane introduced her daughter and son who accompanied her and who are also involved in the operation of the facility.  Formed in 2005, Ace Elder Care is licensed by the State of Idaho for 10 beds in two homes on the Chippewa site.  They maintain an onsite manager 24/7 and have a licensed nurse on call 24/7 as well.  Transportation is provided for local doctor appointments.

Diane emphasized that Ace can assist anyone with their V.A. benefits and she discussed the Aid and Attendance Pension that provides benefits for veterans and their surviving spouses in an assisted living facility who require the regular daily attendance of another person to assist in eating, bathing, dressing and toileting.  She reported that the A & A Pension can provide up to $1,700 each month to a veteran or $2,000 per month to a couple.  She invited anyone who has a need or knows of someone who may have a need for assisted living to contact her at 267-1481 with questions and/or to schedule a tour of the facilities.
