Bonners Ferry Rotary Holds CommUNITY Breakfast & Silent Auction
Earlier this year, the Rotary Club of Bonners Ferry "inherited" the free CommuUNITY breakfast and silent auction from the Boundary County Coalition including all of the organization and planning that goes into any function like this one. The breakfast has been held each year for almost a decade and is now a Rotary service project and fund raiser.

The function, held on September 25th, required lots of Rotary volunteer planning, organization and help. This meant securing the food as a donation from Safeway, preparing the food through the kind assistance of the Badger Boosters who did all the cooking and serving, and obtaining and arranging the donated items that would ultimately be sold at silent auction that morning.

The Service Projects Committee reports that approximately 600 people turned out for the breakfast and silent auction. With a donation to the Badger Boosters and some minor food purchase, net receipts totaled $2,127.90.

Our team lived up to its motto -- that Rotary truly is "Service Above Self."  Thank you all for your participation in another example of outstanding performances.
