July 1st meeting

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Tuesday meeting on July 1st! We had a packed room as Zach gave us an exciting update on all things tourism in Ponca City.

Mark your calendars for our next meeting on August 5th—we’re looking forward to welcoming Lila! She will be speaking about her RYLA experience. See you there at 6 PM.

August 5th, 6 PM, Tuesday Talk

Come listen as Lila Moore, our Club's representative at District 5750's 2025 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program, shares her leadership training experience.

District 5750's "RYLA+" program is a hybrid leadership retreat, using active learning to help students not only learn about leadership, but apply it as well.  In order to prepare students for their future, RYLA+ spends three evenings online, then three days in-person, using games, relevant discussions and other engaging activities to help students explore the top skills employers and colleges are seeking. Things like: Collaboration, Innovation, Self-Awareness, Respect for Differences, Problem-Solving, Communication, Teamwork, Motivation Factors, Navigating Pressure and Ambiguity, and more! While online, RYLA+ creates a foundation for all of the skills, with an emphasis on using these skills in a remote environment, while also getting to know other students at RYLA. While onsite, RYLA+ builds on the foundation and emphasizes using these skills face-to-face.
