August Speaker
Ruth E. Bowling has a B.A. in Business Administration, and recently completed her Masters of Healthcare
Administration at AdventHealth University. A former insurance agent with Brown and Brown, Ruth has
been privileged since 2013 to represent AdventHealth Foundation, as a Development Officer.
AdventHealth partners with Rotary Clubs to provide hope and healing to children around the world.
Ruth is an honorary member of four Rotary Clubs in District 6980, and has been made a multiple Paul
Harris Fellow.
Ruth is married, has two daughters, and four grandchildren. She has made over one hundred
presentations to Rotary clubs in Florida, and never tires of reminding Rotarians how they are changing
the world, one child at a time.

Hello,
 
My name is Angela Lopez and I'm organizing a quarterly Focused Conversation call for clubs that meet online. 
 
Last year, at the inaugural conversation we talked about how to make online meetings engaging.  This year, I have chosen 2 of the 4 topics so far based on survey results. Each conversation will have 2 main discussions in breakouts and then a share out to the group.  
 
Here are this year's focused conversation dates:
 
Monday | 3 August 2026 | 2 pm Central
Think Global, Serve Local
Discussion 1: What do service projects look like in your club? How do you inspire members serve locally?
Discussion 2: How do you measure impact of your whole club? How do you communicate that impact with prospective members?
 
Thursday | 5 November 2026 | Noon Central
A Worldwide Community of Giving: Fundraising in the Virtual World
Discussion 1:  How do you fundraise for The Rotary Foundation or for your club projects?
Discussion 2: Do you have a club foundation? Whether you do or do not have one, how do you decide where the money goes?
