March Club ZOOM Meeting - Celebrating Youth Leadership
March 3rd Zoom Meeting was an amazing event!
We had two young leaders talk about their experiences at S4TL: Seminar for Tomorrow's Leaders. we also celebrated that one of them, Alexa Griffin, was chosen to participate in the District's RYE (Rotary Youth Exchange) program, and is going to Brazil, to study for a year (She's holding the green flag) - Congratulations! Our Club is one of only a handful of Rotary Clubs in the District that is sponsoring an "Outbound" RYE Student. Kudos!

D6950 Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee News

We have been encouraged by the strong level of interest from North America for the Rotarians for Peace Design Sprint and look forward to working with many of you as we prepare the upcoming cohort.

At this stage, we are organizing the next steps for the program and gathering more detailed information from those who expressed interest in participating.

To support this process, we will hold a brief information and orientation session on Tuesday, March 17 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. During this session, we will introduce the Design Sprint structure, explain the application process, and answer questions about forming teams and developing project ideas.

This will also be an opportunity for those who have expressed interest to learn more about what is required to participate in the cohort and the timeline for the program.

Additional details and application information will be shared shortly. In the meantime, we encourage you to save the date for March 17.

You are invited to a Zoom meeting.
When: Mar 17, 2026 05:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

District Announcement
Dear Rotarians of District 6950,

Rotary District 6950 is filled with extraordinary people who give their time, talents, and hearts to make our communities and our world better. Every day across our district, Rotarians are feeding families, mentoring young leaders, supporting humanitarian projects, protecting our environment, and strengthening the communities we call home.

As I prepare to serve as your District Governor for the 2026–2027 Rotary year, one of my greatest priorities is to develop more leaders and strengthen the committees that help guide our district’s work. Rotary thrives when more members are invited to step forward, share their ideas, and serve in meaningful ways.

For that reason, we are launching a District 6950 Committee Interest Form, which will allow Rotarians throughout our district to indicate where their passions, skills, and experience may best serve Rotary. Our goal is simple: to build stronger committees by bringing more Rotarians into the work of the district.

District committees support many of the important initiatives that help Rotary grow and make an impact — from membership and public image, to youth leadership programs, international service, environmental initiatives, disaster preparedness, and more. These committees are where ideas turn into action and where Rotarians across clubs come together to serve something bigger than any one of us.
If you have ever thought about becoming more involved at the district level, I warmly encourage you to complete this short form and share your interest. Whether you are a long-time Rotarian with years of experience or someone newer to Rotary who is ready to step forward, your perspective and enthusiasm are welcome.

One of the best ways we can ensure the future of Rotary is by creating opportunities for more leaders to emerge. I truly believe that expanding participation in our district committees will help us grow stronger, develop new leaders, and continue the incredible work that Rotarians in District 6950 have carried forward for generations.

Thank you for everything you already do in your clubs and communities. I look forward to working alongside many of you as we continue building a vibrant and impactful Rotary district.

With appreciation and excitement for the year ahead,
Mark Middleton

This Survey is very important. It allows us to compile and send pertinent information to the District as to what Rotary-related activities our Club Members are doing while also providing ideas for possible paths we can take and projects we can do as a Club to further the goals and objectives of Rotary.
