Community Service is the opportunity Rotary clubs have to implement club projects and activities that improve life in our local communities.

We are always looking for new ways to improve our community in Washago & Area. Community Service means different things to different people. For some, it means improving parks, trails, and children's playground equipment. To others, it means assisting needy individuals who are in stress for whatever reason.

Our very first Community Service Project following our club's charter was to beautify the Washago Water Tower. The Washago Water Tower is a visible testiment to our commitment in community service.

We believe Community Service is all of those things. We want to improve the lives of people in any way possible. We completed our Mural Project on the Washago Water Tower in 2007.

We assisted in sponsoring a children's T-Ball team. Each spring, we participate in the Highway Cleanup Program and remove trash from the on & off ramps from Highway 11 & 169.We have assisted in the ongoing development of the Washago Community Centre.

If you know of a need in our community that you think should be addressed, we look forward to hearing from you. Or if you would like to get involved with our club and help us to achieve our goals in the name of Community Service, please visit our membership page, or contact me personally and perhaps we can work together to improve Washago & Area.
