This evening, our very own Ardis Proulx was honoured with the Angela Jones Memorial Award — a national recognition that celebrates exceptional leadership, compassion, and logistical excellence in the fight against food insecurity. 🧡
Named after the late Angela Jones, a trailblazer who dedicated her life to ensuring food made it into the hands of those who needed it most, this award recognizes individuals who keep food bank operations running with heart and precision.
And tonight, that honour went to Ardis.
Ardis proudly represented Northern Ontario and Treaty 9 territory, standing as a powerful voice for rural and Indigenous communities. Her leadership not only strengthens our local food systems but uplifts the entire region with innovation, dignity, and heart. From reducing food waste to nearly zero, to building lasting partnerships across the North — her impact is inspiring and undeniable.
Please join us in celebrating this monumental and deeply deserved achievement. We are so incredibly proud.
