Announcements 
 
MULTI-Club Assembly: Rotary for the Bays  Thurs. March 5th at 6PM at Irish Cofee Pub (131 Carleton Ave East Islip) $40pp Cash Bar  Presentations will be made by Citizens Campaign for the Environment, Save the Great South Bay, Fire Island National Sea Shore & Oyster Growers.
 
Next Board Meeting had been rescheduled:  March 18th is the new date for the Board Meeting this month.
 
Soles 4 Souls Shoe Drive -   Megan Noble is again collecting gently worn shoes in collaboration with the Northport Rotary Club.  There is a drop off box in the hallway at her office, 1801 House, Argyle Square.  Please tie or rubber band the shoes together so they don't get lost in the shuffle. Please drop off before Friday, March 22.
 
Rotary Foundation -   Upcoming Deadline:  donations to Rotary Foundation are due March 31st.  The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.  The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.  Checks can be made payable to Rotary Foundation and given to Treasurer Chris Cunningham or Secretary Kristen Morse.
 
Dirty Sock Run Committee Meeting:  APRIL 1st at 11:30am @ LIYC  All club members are invited to attend the first Dirty Sock Run Committee.   Josie Titcomb will be our Race Coordinator again this year.  If you haven't already responded to her email inviting you to volunteer, please check your inbox.  
 
Arbor Day preparations have begun!:    Thank you Scott Lockwood for getting the ball rolling on our annual Arbor Day Project where we distribute trees to every 1st grader in our service area.  This year we ordered more trees than ever... 1750 trees.  Our Arbor Day education program will be held at JFK Elementary School in West Babylon on Weds April 22nd at 9:30am.
 
Inbound Youth Exchange:  Our club is in search of a family to volunteer as Emergency Family for our inbound youth exchange student.  They will be arriving Late July 2020.  We don't yet have any information regarding the student or what country they will be coming from.  Please contact Josie Titcomb if you would like to volunteer.  
 
 
 
Our Next  Meeting
 
 Our next regular meeting at LIYC, will be held Weds March 4th at 12:30pm.  Our guest speaker will be our very own, Dr. Michael Beck, who will enlighten us about Sky King spy-dector writer & Freud's inner circle.
