Although the sun shone over Babylon Village on Sunday, August 11th, threatening weather forecasts kept many runners away from this year’s Dirty Sock Run.  However, a respectable field of 625 runners finished the race, and enjoyed a fun-filled day of racing, prizes, food and camaraderie. Thanks to the many months of planning and hard work of Project Chair Chris Korte, his many helpers, and our generous sponsors, the event netted a tidy sum to help support our local food pantries and soup kitchens – nearly equaling last year’s record breaking total.

Many thanks to all of our member volunteers, the Babylon Village staff, and many other friends who helped make the event a success.
