The 2024 District 5050 Assembly happened at our very own Kwantlen Polytechnic University and was a full day of networking, training, dialoguing, connection, and discovery of Rotary.

This weekend was packed with environmental activities!
The Rotary Climate Fair took place in Chilliwack over Saturday and Sunday. Some of us stayed back and participated in the Pancake Breakfast, the Vancouver Climate Strike, and the Repair Cafe!
Two days packed with incredible speakers, sustainably-aligned organizations, and networking with people who see the value in protecting our environment!
Robyn Curtis, of the Rotary Club of Chilliwack, did a wonderful job running the event. She gave us lots of tips, information, and guidance to do a stellar job in 2026!

Party for the Planet
As part of the City of Surrey's Environmental Extravaganza, the Party for the Planet event offered:
Sustainable Marketplace: food trucks, artisan products made by local small businesses from Surrey and the Lower Mainland
Native plants: giveaways & sale to green our balconies and gardens
Educational Opportunities: Fishery & Watershed information, pollinator identification, indigenous knowledge and ways of being
Fun events and activities for kids: salmon walk, bike smoothies, dance performances, and much more.
