Visioning Session with District Leaders

OUR CLUB HAS DECIDED TO TAKE PART IN A VISIONING SESSION HOSTED BY A TEAM OF DISTRICT LEADERS -

THE FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENTS OF VISIONING: • Use of Outside Facilitators to Assure the Objectivity and Independence of the of Process • Outcomes Driven by the Membership • Goals: • Reaching a Consensus about Purpose, Mission, Focus • Setting the Stage for the Club to Act on the Purpose and Mission • Challenge every club to become even stronger using the outline of the RI Action Plan • Expand our Reach • Increase our Impact • Enhance Participant Engagement • Increase our Ability to Adapt

BASIC PROCESS: 1) Survey the club to establish a baseline and to inform leadership about whether the needs of members are being met 2) Use proven facilitation skills to draw the best ideas from the membership about projects, member satisfaction, leadership development, fundraising, community engagement, etc. 3) Provide the club the tools and support necessary to turn wishes into wants; cant!s into cans; dreams into plans; and plans into reality RESULTS: • A Three Year Master Plan with annual outline of goals and an identified leader for each goal • An Action Plan for each goal in the Master Plan • Leader • Other team members • Resource requirements • Start date • Anticipated Completion date • Selection of an Impact Leader (or Team) to keep the club on course • Development of a Slogan / Motto / Tag Line for the Club that embodies your Purpose
