Rotary Meeting June 12, 2015
Another Special Meeting ...
We presented a $15,000 check to
SCW Rec Centers Staff!

President Bob opened the meeting promptly at noon and exclaimed how honored he was to be the leader of this Award Winning Club!

Don Ellis led the group in a very thought provoking Invocation.  Ed Cirillo let the group in The Pledge of Allegiance.  Bob Buckley followed up with reciting the Four-Way Test.  The traditional "and have fun" was enthusiastically chanted at the end.  Don Sather called upon our guest, Tony Struck, to accompany him in leading the club members in singing America The Beautiful.  Our other guest, Cindy Knowlton, shared with President Bob that Tony loved to sing on Fridays especially when it was payday and Friday was payday.  Merlyn Carlson delivered very interesting “Fun & Games” and collected some money for the club.

There were many "Happy Rotarians" who contributed over to $125 to the clubs coffers!  Some of those Happy Rotarians were Pete Dow, Dick Stuckey, Kathy Linton, Janet Gooltz, Dick Livengood, Dick Rossi, Clarine Clampitt and Brien Hendrickson.  Bob Murray put in $5 for each of his remaining two weeks as Club President then Brien Hendrickson made an additional comment about the the next two weeks and President Bob assessed him an additional $5 for his comment.

The Rotary Club of Sun City West presented a $15,000 check to Cindy Knowlton and Tony Struck of the Sun City West Recreation Centers for the construction of The Rotary Meditation Garden.
The Rotary Meditation Garden will be located at Beardsley Recreational Center in Sun City West, Arizona.  Construction is scheduled to start this August with a planned completion in March 2016.
