Passing of the Gavel

At our Club meeting on June 29th, President Jim presented his gravel to Merlyn Carlson, who will preside over Club business for the next Rotary year, beginning July 1st. Merlyn in turn gave Jim his Past-President’s pin and an inscribed memento for his service in 2011-2012.

Earlier in the meeting, President Jim reviewed the accomplishments of the Club during his tenure. Among the achievements noted were: donations through the Endowment Fund of approximately $25,000 +/- to area charitable organizations, addition of several new members, a successful Christmas Party, the "Gang Buster" Annual Golf Tournament as a major fund raiser and Jim was honored by celebrating Fred Hafner's 100th Birthday .
