Rotary Club Hosts Annual Ice Cream Social

On April 18, 2017, sixteen Rotarians, spouses and friends converged on Nadaburg Elementary School in Wittmann to host their annual Rotary Spring Ice Cream Social. This is the third year that the Rotary Club of Sun City West has sponsored the event, which is coordinated by Rotarian Roger Bowen and Erika Chapman of the Nadaburg School staff. Approximately 450 students, including faculty, enjoyed ice cream, sprinkles and cookies provided by the Club. Shown above are the visiting Rotarians and one of the elementary school classes served.

Pastor Phill Robbins, a member of Rotary, gave a brief explanation and history of Rotary; focusing on the Rotary motto: “Service Above Self”. The Ice Cream Social and the annual distribution of dictionaries to all third graders in the Nadaburg and Dysart School Districts are examples of the Club’s community services.
