Dysart Community Center Update

Annie received her degree in business and women’s studies from Portland State University and worked throughout the United States setting the standards for spine rehabilitation clinics. Annie returned to her home country of England in 1994 and began working internationally with the Police and Local Authorities on the use of Closed Circuit Television in public spaces. In 1999, she won the European Medal for safety in city centers for her innovative programs helping with public space surveillance.. Annie continued studying and earned additional diplomas in Child Psychology, Drug & Alcohol Counselling and Advanced Stress Management. Her imagination and creativity helped her to designs programs to support adult women in crisis in her own company working with abused women returning to the work force. After twenty years Annie returned to the U.S. and began working in the not for profit world as Executive Director at Arizonans for Children. The mission there was to improve the lives of abused, abandoned and neglected children in foster care. Annie served that non-profit for 8 years, leaving to set up her own non-profit to support teenagers aging out of foster care. Annie Ansell joined Dysart Community Center; the oldest non-profit in the West Valley, in November 2016. She is delighted to play such a practical role in serving the communities needs and ensuring the continued success of Dysart Community Center. |

Kathryn Chandler Executive Director/ Mobility Manager – Northwest Valley Connect Kathryn comes from a family of Transportation Providers and Volunteers. The family business of school bus transportation started in 1939 has grown to include Paratransit, coach bus tour trips, and other charter service all in Wisconsin. Kathryn worked in school bus transportation and then public transit for 14 years before taking the position as the first Executive Director of Northwest Valley Connect in 2014.

Colonel Ethan Hall Colonel Ethan Hall graduated from Arizona State University in 1996 and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army’s Air Defense Artillery. Colonel Hall has served in various assignments highlighted with command positions with a Patriot Battery in Germany and a Patriot Battalion in the Republic of Korea. Throughout his 22-year career in the U.S. Army, Ethan has deployed in support of multiple operations including Kuwait; Tel Aviv, Israel and Baghdad, Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom; and Qatar supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Prior to attending the U.S. Army War College, Colonel Hall was assigned the Joint Staff in the Pentagon. Upon graduation from the War College, he will take command of a Air Defense Artillery Brigade stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. Ethan is married to Filza Hall and they have two daughters, Atiya and Laila. |

DR. MICHAEL BOLL Dr. Michael Boll is an expert in international relations and world history with extensive experience in government service and academia. As a senior professor at U.S. military schools including the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawaii, the Marshall Center in Garmisch, Germany and the Air War College in Montgomery, Alabama, he worked with top level officers and politicians from the U.S., Europe and Asia. He is an emeritus professor at San Jose State University in the Bay Area. Mike served on the Policy-Planning Staff of the Pentagon, was a Foreign Service Officer and was an analyst for the CIA in Europe. He received his PhD in Modern History and Government from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) where he was on the varsity boxing team. Mike has written extensively about history and international relations, publishing numerous books and articles in top journals. He lived in Europe for many years and travels frequently throughout the world to keep his knowledge current. Presently, Mike and his wife Margaret split their time between Bend, Oregon and Sun City West, Arizona. |
