All Hazard Emergency Service

Paul Pitts, a retired Fire Chief (shown above with club president Karen Brown), addressed Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club at its August 23rd meeting. Pitts, who has worked in emergency service his entire career, reviewed All Hazard Emergency Service formed after Anthrax attacks, which prepares health departments for major catastrophes or disasters. Also reviews was  Medical Resource Group, formed after 911, which has 900 units nationwide and can respond to any incident that affects public health. Pitts noted individuals and family should have in place a plan for what to do in the case of a disaster and recommended downloading the mobile app Code Red. (Thank you to Jo Ann Oxsen)
