Shelter Box

Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club member Andrea Shields gave a power point presentation on Shelter Box. Rotary International partners with Shelter Box to provide emergency shelter following catastrophic events worldwide. Within 24-48 hours following a disaster, volunteers arrive on the scene with shelter boxes, each of which includes a custom-designed family tent, waterproof ground mat, thermal fleece blankets, cooking equipment, water containers, a solar light, a tool kit and more to provide for a family for up to 6 months. Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club donates $1,000 yearly to the Shelter Box Project.
