Program for Today: Niabi Zoo Update

President  Tom Ward welcomed 3.0 Seniors and Rotarians to
the Annual 3.0 Senior Recognition Luncheon held at the Rendezvous on May 9,
2011.  The Invocation was given by Diane Campbell, and
Marilyn Smith led us in singing God Bless America.

Charlie Lewis reminded the Paul Harris Sustaining Fellow
Committee of the committee meeting following the luncheon.

Potential New Member:  Nathan Mather was in attendance.

Superintendent Bill Decker began the Scholarship
Recognition Program by reminding the Senior students to continue to
make good choices in your life.  He also told them that they are fortunate to be
living in Muscatine and as they head off on their life's paths to not forget
where they have come from.  

Jake Mueller, Karey Hawkins, Bill Decker and Bob Weaton then
proceeded to announce the names of the 3.0 Seniors and present them with their
recognition certificates.

Scott Ingstad announced the individual scholarship
recipients and each was given a $1000 scholarship and had their picture taken
with Scott.  The students recognized were: Danielle Chase, Sonyia Aguilar, Beth
Cole and Emily Summer.  Beth has a 4.0 grade point and was recognized as the
number 1 student in the class of 2011.

Danielle Brunson, Senior Class President then addressed her
classmates and Rotarians. She encouraged her classmates to thank their teachers
and their parents for pushing them and helping them throughout their 12 years in
the Muscatine Community School District.

President Tom Ward then reminded all seniors to pick up
their gift bags from the community including:  Central State Bank,
Community Bank, Eagle One Investments, Mike Hagerty, Edward D. Jones including
Bob Sheets, Troy Pugh and Tom Johanns, First National Bank, HNI Corporation,
Hy-Vee Food Store, Krieger Motor Company, Miller and Harrison Insurance,
Muscatine Community College, Muscatine Foods, Muscatine Power and Water,
Muscatine Radiology, Stanley Consultants, Inc. Temp Associates and Trinity of
Muscatine 

Members of the Student
Enrichment/Scholarship Committee are: Jeff Armstrong,
Jeff Canfield, Mike Hagerty, Scott Ingstad, Bob Jensen, Greg
Kistler, Chair Jay McKee, Jeff Miller,Bev White and Jessica Wittman.
