Rotary Moment: Mike told us about the swinging door for membership within Rotary Clubs.We revolve 10-15% of our membership each year. In 2010 we had 127 members and today we have 112 members.

No meeting on Monday, May 28, 2012 due to Memorial Day.

Kelly Garvin is back from the International Convention in Bangkok, Thailand.

We will have an inbound student from Brazil arriving in August. and we need another Home Stay..if you are interested!!

Happy News: Keith Porter is happy that so many from Rotary had relatives in the Big River Production and yes he is happy his son graduated from MHS. Paul Kraushaar is happy over Big River also with his son in it along with several other Rotarian family members. Sara Ingstad is proud to announce that a new little Ingstad is on it's way!! Sol LoBianco is happy is daughter graduated from MHS and is also a Valedictorian. Jane Daufeldt is happy that a grant was received from the Health Association to cover operating expenses for the Blue Zone project. Diana Gradert's grandson graduated from Assumption and her granddaughter will be running in the National 4X4 contest for Coe College. Kelly Garvin is happy to be home! Caren Luke proud that she and Larry are celebrating their 44th anniversary. Rick Gosney's son graduated from Rock Ridge and will be going to Iowa. He too is a 4X4 runner and will participate in the Illinois State Meet.

Program for Today: Stefanie Brown the Manager of the River Bandits talked about her role in leading the River Bandits and the promotions and business transactions that are undertaken to keep the team's name in front of the public. She talked about the role of the members of the teams and their tenacity to live out of a suitcase and constantly ride a bus. It was interesting, fun and informative to listen to Stefanie. Stefanie is one of 4 Women Managers of Baseball Teams!!
