Program:   Our program was Jen Von Kaenel with Junior Achievement (JA).  JA in celebrating its 100 year; for a century it has been committed to making our young people 100% ready for their future.   JA does this by providing students in kindergarten through high school with knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work-readiness and entrepreneurship.  JA started in Muscatine in 1985 with four middle school classes.   Jen shared a video with us titled "Empower the Future", it highlighted the power of JA.  The second video she shared with us was a moving testimonial of an adult and how JA changed his life.  Jen also shared many statistics of JA - JA alumni make 20% higher income than the general population,  1 in 3 JA alumni credit JA for influencing their career decision, 88% are satisfied with their career, 67% more likely to have an advanced degree, 30% more likely to have a bachelor's degree.   If you would like to be a JA volunteer, please go to www.jaheartland.org.   Thank you Jen.
