Program:  John Kuhl introduced  Brian Dollinger who is the Symphony Conductor for Muscatine, Clinton and yes a symphony in Hawaii. Brian thinks the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra is one of Muscatine's best kept secrets.  Muscatine has had a symphony since the late 1800's. The current iteration came back in 2000 as the inspiration of Jan Phillips.  Brian came on the scene in 2003-2004.  The group does 7 performances a year of which 2 are free. The symphony has been involved in 7 musicals and won the State of Iowa Volunteer Award. The line up of guest perfomers has been broad ranged and international in nature.  Brian's goals are to fill the hall and to get kids under 18 involved. Kids come free!!  The Symphony image is changing as Brian's philosophy is to come as you are and enjoy the spirited musical performances!! Variety, diversity and fun!!
