Rotary News: Megan Johnson, first reading for new member and Tina Campbell, guest of Erika Cox and potential new member. Happy News: Janet Morrow is glad that her daughter had a great experience at RYLA and Paul Fitzpatrick is a member of the Kaufmann Clan and enjoyed the 100th reunion with 350 relatives present.

Program: Bret Olsen gave a brief overview of the programs offered at the Muscatine Family Y. These include: Youth Development, Healthy Living, Family Programs and Health Promotion. There are 9500 members with 1000 on scholarships. Bret reminds us that the Y is reasonably priced compared to Y's across the state. He has been at the Y for 7 years now and has experienced the growing pains of the facility which has been at the current location for 24 years. The Y has undertaken an expansion that will enlarge the teen center, provide conference space, a Kids Adventure Center for 4-5 year olds, expand the gyms and tracks. The fundraising campaign is underway with a goal of 7.25 million. To date 4,570,995.00 has been raised. Bret showed extensive drawings of the new space and talked about the needs of the Y for promoting and growing a more healthy community.
