Rotary News: Rachel Riley Smock invited participation in the 13th Annual New Beginnings Banquet on April 11th.  Todd Poci asked for Rotary History to be unearthed and he will restore it if brought to him.  He also requested 5 more judges to eat Bar B Q at the Annual Picnic for Senior Resources and he is miffed that he is eating butter for lunch...pasta, pasta pasta!! Melanie Alexander reminded us of the fundraiser at Boonies.Janet Morrow is happy that Muscatine the Magazine is out again!! Her son is turning 13 this week and the annual Chamber meeting was a big success!! Greg Jenkins is happy that the Hotel Stanley is gaining ground  and that the Salvation Army tickets are available for the Annual Dinner. Tony Joseph is proud of his son for his acting debut and was pleased with the Chamber Dinner speaker!!
 
Tony recognized Chuck Moody and Mary Wildermuth with pins for  their weekly work in making the Rotary meetings flow!  He also reminded us of the WineNutz Rotary night meeting on April 23rd sponsored by Kundel and Hintermeister. Put that date and the Annual Rotary Conference on your calendars!!  Conference is in Coralville on April 17 and 18th!!
 
Program: Bob Allbee introduced Jim Elias with an update on the Entrepreneurial Activities happening in Muscatine. Monthly on the first Tuesday of the month,coffee is shared at the E center where new startups and ideas are discussed.  Sunday, April 12th at 2:00 pm there will be a community talk about Start Ups lead by 2 experts from the Creative Corridor in Iowa City.  Jim also is starting a Middle School Camp for 6-8th grade students called " Start Up Like a Boss".  The 4th Annual Entrepreneur Expo will be held on May 5 and May 6.  High School and MCC students will learn from local expert entrepreneurs including Doug Buster of Fabrocators and Dan Nietzel of Fighting Chance Solutions.  A Start Up Challenge Event will be held at MCC with the grand prize being tickets to Entrefest!!  Jim told us we can help by participating with an idea, pitching someone else's idea or coming to an event....like April 12th or May 5th or 6th!!
