Heartfelt thanks to Iowa City AM Rotary Club for spearheading an effort to raise money for tornado relief in Marshalltown.  A request went out to District 6000 clubs and club members, and to date, President Garber has received $865.  The Marshalltown Rotary board approved an initial donation of $1000 to MICA and will be looking at other ways to help going forward.

We know that many of our members have already contributed time, effort, and money to help affected families and businesses.  Just a few of many examples include Lennox Industries donating $500,000; Hy-Vee providing meals, water, and ice; The Willows of Marshalltown providing living quarters to displaced Embers residents;  and Animal Clinic - The Vet housing displaced pets.  We also know that clean up and rebuilding will take months and, in some cases, years to complete.  Thanks to Alliant Energy, United Way, Unity Point, city employees, the Times-Republican and our radio stations, and all the rest of you who have helped, are helping, and will continue to help as we go forward.
