The annual meeting of Marshalltown Rotary Club will be Tuesday, November 20th, at 12:05 pm.  At the annual meeting, we will elect officers and directors to serve beginning July 1, 2019; we will elect a director to serve on the Marshalltown Rotary Foundation board; and Treasurer Roger Groteluschen will review financial reports for the year ending June 30, 2018.  We will also vote on a proposed amendment to the bylaws which will allow corporate memberships.  The proposed change to the bylaws would add a new Article 11 -- Corporate Membership, and change the numbering of current Articles 11 and 12 to Articles 12 and 13 respectively.  The proposed Article 11 is as follows:  Section 1 -- Approval.  A corporate entity or organization is eligible for corporate membership of the Rotary Club of Marshalltown through the existing member approval process.  Section 2 -- RI Registration.  One corporate designee will be listed as the official member of the Rotary Club of Marshalltown and will be noted in the club roster as the primary designee of the named eligible corporation.  Section 3 -- Votes and Quorum.  For general meetings, voting by the corporate member will be as an official member of the Rotary Club of Marshalltown (one vote per corporate membership).  Only the corporate designee from a corporate membership may hold an office.  Section 4 -- Financial Obligations.  The financial obligations of an eligible corporation will be as follows:  a.  RI dues:  Payable for each corporate accommodation member as stipulated in RI Bylaws 18.030., and b.  Corporate membership dues at the Rotary Club of Marshalltown corporate rate.
