Gary Hall will be presenting some of his photographic art and also updating us on the Bruce Trail in Caledon. "For my presentation, I would like to use my photography to focus on the conservation aspect of the Bruce Trail with particular attention to the properties we manage in the Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club. This would include images of various landscapes as well as flora and fauna."
The following is how he prescribes is love of hiking and photographie. "I purchased my first SLR camera back in the 60's and instantly fell in love with photography. My love of the outdoors led to my keen interest in hiking and nature/wildlife photography. My hiking and photography excursions have taken me on trips to East Africa, the Canadian and American Rockies, Patagonia (Argentina and Chile), Ecuador and the Galapagos Archipelago, Costa Rica and Florida and will hopefully lead me to more of the world's fascinating locations before I "hang up my cameras and hiking boots" |

Dorothy Mazeau will be explaining the Introduction to Golden Girls (and Guys) Living. What is a Golden Girls home? A Golden Girls Home is a home shared by mature adults. Sometimes it’s two women sharing an apartment; sometimes it’s four women and men sharing a house. Each house develops its own culture and style, and each member makes the house feel like a home. Sharing is a nice thing to do (remember we were taught this as children). Sharing a living space is economical, environmentally friendly, and reduces the sense of alienation and isolation. |

Egypt has roughly 3 million children born annually; 35’000 with CHD; 17’000 need intervention in the first 5 years of life Thankfully, most of these children can lead a normal and healthy life with timely intervention. So, we need to diagnose these problems early and treat them timely to help the little hearts beat healthy. For more information check out the link below. WE are meeting at the Senior Centre in Bolton with our host the Bolton Rotary Club. Our speaker is Richard Ehrlich who traveled to Guatemala with many other dentists giving treatments to local needing population. Some comments from the dentists follows. "Without doubt this is the hardest week of dentistry that all of us do all year. The heat and humidity are always a challenge to work in but this year it seemed a little more intense. The physical work of unpacking, setting up, taking down then packing again every day in a rainforest in itself is exhausting. Then the emotional investment can take a toll on you as well. Having said that, it always amazes me how rejuvenating the whole experience is for me and how incredibly good I feel at the end of this trip. During our final dinner one of the local nurses got very emotional while thanking us and said that we are the only group that service the indigenous people of this area even though there are local dentists that could do it. You cannot find better people to work with than the volunteers on this trip. I’m honoured to know them and work with them and hope to do so again soon."
