I will also toss in two happy bucks that Calvin and I were screened for COVID and were cleared! It is just nasty colds and we have to isolate for 3 more days minimum! A weight was certainly lifted off my shoulders after our video appointment!

Home School Day 1 from Deb's daughter, Ashley Rogers, Alameda, CA.
Today was fairly successful. Our students only cried once, and the principal and teacher only had one disagreement about class scheduling! We started our day with a brief yoga session, then moved on to math worksheets (Merritt, 6 y/o) and online Typing Club (Kai, 9 y/o). Following a walk to see a neighbor’s garden, our Life Skills session involved planning our edible garden (mostly focused on how to paint/decorate the planter boxes!). Afternoon activities included handwriting practice/writing letters to family, more math sheets (note Mike’s geometry drawings!), and making Pom-Pom pets at craft time. Recess included some bizarre form of basketball that involved tricycle layups and shooting baskets from various odd positions while standing on obstacles. All in all, it was a pretty good day.

My birthday was this week. Also, I am thankful during this time to see people pulling together and their willingness to help others, small businesses etc. For a chuckle, groan, eye roll see the photo. This was a birthday gift from my husband!

I'm so happy that I was able to spend the weekend with my mom before social distancing!! We went out for sushi😊

My Nail Tech, Dee Ann McClanahan, from North Liberty is very crafty with her sewing machine. I suggested that she make masks. She has formed a group of 200 sewers around the state. She is providing link's for each sewer to order materials. She has ordered enough for herself to do 2,000 masks. Health professionals around the state will be provided masks by these sewer warrior's.
