The District 6000 Annual Meeting will be held on Friday, March 13, during PETS in Rochester, MN.

At that meeting, your representative, the President Elect, will be voting for your club on the following agenda items:

1. approve the Minutes from last year's Annual Meeting(attached)
2. approve the Financial Statements from the Rotary year 2017-2018 (Rotary International requirement).(attached)
3. approve the Operating Budget for 2020-21(attached)

4. approve the ByLaw amendment, Section 4.2(attached)

5. Approve the recommendation of the Board of Directors to increase dues by $5 for District  6000 members from $30 to $35, commencing July 1, 2020.

6. approve the recommendation of the Nominating Committee for the District Governor in 2022-23, Steve Wieneke from the Rotary Club of Ankeny.

Regarding 4. Approve the ByLaw amendment, section 4.2. You will notice that we added three non PDGs to the Board of Directors. The reason to add members is to provide additional diversity to more closely represent our total membership.

Your PE will receive information from DGE Steve Dakin and an explanation of the proposed 2020-21 Budget and the proposed $5 dues increase. The District dues have not been increased in the last 12 years and during that period total membership in the District has declined by approx. 700 members.

Each Member-Club entitled to vote shall have at least one vote on each matter submitted to a vote. Such vote must be cast in person. Any Member-Club with a membership of more than 25 shall be entitled to one additional vote for each additional 25, or major fraction thereof, of its members. If a Member-Club is entitled to cast more than one vote, the Member-Club’s votes shall all be cast for the same candidate or in the same way on any issue. (see the D6000 By Laws, section 3.10 Voting)
