HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING AT EAST POLK ROTARY

Hope everyone had a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Day eating lots of delicious food and enjoying a great time with friends and family.

Thanks to Marti for inviting SE Polk Superintendent Dirk Halupnik to our meeting last week.  It was great to hear his up-to-date report on the increased enrollment of students in the district,  the building program going on to provide modern space for the students, and the new curriculum being offered to prepare the students for college and career.  They are keeping really busy out there.

And, thanks to Adam for leading the meeting for me while I was out of town.

No morning meeting tomorrow.  The end-of-the-month social will be tomorrow evening, November 29, at Tavern 36 in Mitchellville.  Please arrive at 6 p.m. for socializing and dinner.  Trivia will start up at 7 p.m.  Bring your thinking caps!  Address:  101 Second Street Southwest, Mitchellville, IA  50169.

Next week will be our Business Meeting with breakfast.  If you have anything that you would like added to the agenda, please let me know.

Also, a reminder to share our Facebook post about the virtual golfing fundraiser.  Hopefully we can get more participants golfing soon.

And most of all, thanks to all of you for all you do.
