First of all - WELCOME BACK LINDA!
 
Committee reports from last week's meeting -
 
Vocational - Mike Hamilton encouraged everyone to sign up for teams, donations for the silent auction and lane sponsors for the upcoming Bowling Bash on Friday, February 22.
 
Club Service - Marti reported that their committee is planning the holiday party for mid-January and asked for ideas on where to hold it.
 
Membership - Mike Hartwig gave a report for Tom Downs.  When members bring a guest for breakfast who is a prospective member, there will be no charge.  There is a charge for friends and family.
 
Community Service - Kevin Jasa and Marie Pipes working as co-chairs are searching for ideas to help a needy family for Christmas.  They will have more information on this tomorrow.
 
Youth and Family - Eric reported that Freedom for Youth are starting a literacy program.  The attendance has doubled recently and they need volunteers to help with reading, etc.  Gregg Lynes serves on their board of directors and will be providing more information on this tomorrow.  Gregg says they have the mini libraries ready, and will be talking to them about those.  Eric is working on getting a student or two to talk about RYLA.
 
International Committee - They are working on some ideas and will report at a later date.
 
Our program for tomorrow will be presented by Corinne Lambert.
 
Sergeant at Arms - Eric Borseth.
 
Upcoming - 2019 Bowling Bash, Friday afternoon, February 22.  This is a very important fund raiser for the Iowa Technology Expo and other community projects.  We would like to fill all the lanes at the Great Escape this year, so start getting your teams together now.  All forms are available to print from the East Polk Rotary website.  Mike Hamilton will be asking us to sign up to bring a basket for the silent auction.
