Where Funds Go
ROTARY CLUB OF OAKVILLE WEST (RCOW)
YOUTH SUPPORTED PROGRAMS & WHERE FUNDS GO
Every year, funds raised go to our sponsored youth programs including:
- Oakville Rotary Education Awards (OREA) Bursaries and scholarships are awarded to graduating grade 12 students, in excess of $50,000 annually from the three Oakville Rotary Clubs.
- Camp Enterprise Collaborating with Halton Rotary Clubs to sponsor 50+ high school students attending 4-day leadership camp. Providing volunteers to oversee and mentor as well.
- Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Sponsoring two applicants annually (18-24 years) to participate in an intensive 6-day business camp experience.
For over 30 years, RCOWhas raised funds to support localarea charities and not-for- profits, dispersing financial aid to many deserving organizations and their very worthy projects and initiatives including:

Halton Learning Foundation
Salvation Army
Lighthouse for Grieving Children
Food4Kids
ArtHouse
Kerr Street Ministries
ErinoakKids Camps
Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario

The Darling Home for Kids (The Cedarbrook Society)
and so many more!
As well, funds are donated and leveraged to support Rotary International Projects that impact the global community in a meaningful way. A few of which include:
- PolioPlus – to eradicate Polio globally
- WASH – to provide water, sanitation and hygiene to third world countries
- Neonatal hospital equipment
- Sponsoring student to attend the United Nations (Int’l Youth Year)
- School for the Deaf in San Miguel, Mexico
