David Angas:  Information on Rotary Service Trip to San Miguel, Mexico for Rotarians interested in International Service, or just interested in travel. Several years ago, all 3 Oakville Rotary clubs joined together to do a Global Grant for the EEE School for the Deaf in San Miguel, Mexico. It was a very successful project and a trip is being arranged to visit the school and experience the beautiful, historic city of San Miguel.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see how our dollars were spent and see San Miguel (a haven for artists) as well as being hosted by local Rotarians. June Oliver is from Oakville-Trafalgar is organizing the trip for Oakville Rotarians interested in participating.

Currently 8 people have registered for this trip and we would like to increase the numbers. The invitation is extended to all District 7080 Rotarians. Dates are Oct 27-Nov 3 2017. If interested, please contact: June Oliver (RCOT) at: joliver65@me.com

David Abboud:  David reported that he had travelled to San Salvador in El Salvador on April 22, 2017 to see the Rotary-based "Gift of Life" International (GOL) program which provides cardiac treatment to children in developing countries. GOL, formed in 1975, provides hope to children with heart disease.  By developing sustainable pediatric cardiac surgery, catheterization and aftercare programs, they empower local healthcare professionals to treat children in their country of birth.
