The Ken and Atha Crist/Rotary Memorial Community Service Scholarship was established in 1992 to honor the late Ken and Atha Crist, dedicated community volunteers. This scholarship offers financial assistance to Chariton High School graduates who have demonstrated genuine concern for the community through their leadership and involvement in school, church and/or community activities.
Each year two scholarships are offered, both in the amount of $1,000. Emphasis is placed on leadership roles and service given by the individual to his or her community.
