TORVILLE was built in Owen Sound in 1986 by Russell Brothers and is one of about 40 tugs called "Ville Class," most of these tugs were built to work as harbour tugs during world War two. TORVILLE is one of the last ones built.

As far as I know, her sister ship (TAY) still works on the Rideau canal servicing the locks.
TORVILLE is 40 feet long and is solid steel, she is powered by a Detroit diesel engine and can cruise at 7 knots, she has a full galley and all the amenities of home.
I have always loved tug boats and was thrilled to find her for sale about 7 years ago.

By the way, she is for sale at a very special price for Rotarians
