Opportunity for Entrepreneurs and Students in Halton

Pythons’ Pit, presented by RBC, is the newest initiative by Rotary in Halton and McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. Pythons’ Pit is a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and high school students within Halton Region to pitch their creative business idea or concept to a panel of local business moguls, the Pythons, in exchange for a chance to win investment capital, cash prizes or a bursary. Qualifying contestants will benefit from the guidance of the Pythons, as well the Mentors, a group of industry experts representing a variety of diverse professions.

All Halton Region residents, post-secondary students in Halton institutions, and students from McMaster, Mohawk and Sheridan college are eligible to participate.

 The Pythons represent a diverse group of people from varying industry segments and include: Randy Pilon, CEO and Founder, Virox Technologies Inc.; Nadir Ansari, What’s Next Guide; John Romano, Owner, Nicklebrook Breweries and Better Bitters; Susane Mikler, VP and Co-founder, Liaison College; George Minakakiis, Global Retail Executive, Board Director and Author; and Don Dalicandro, a serial entrepreneur in technology, real estate, retail and food, and a Board Director.

 The Host of the event is three-time best-selling author and host of the Naked Entrepreneurship Show, Dr. Sean Wise. Dr Wise is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at Ryerson University.
