Julia Hanna, Recipient

 

Julia and her husband Brian have lived in Oakville for more than 20 years, raising their children and building her businesses. They have five children and three grandchildren. 

 

Julia is a local entrepreneur and the proud owner of Ritorno Restaurant, and Ristorante Julia, a fixture in downtown Oakville. Beyond her businesses Julia is passionate about power of food to effect the quality of people’s lives. She is Founder of the Healthy Family Program, The Kids Culinary Community (KCC) and The Seniors & Family Culinary Community.  She writes a monthly editorial focusing on helping readers build and sustain healthy relationships with food. She hosts “Return to the Table” TV Cogeco and is the past Chair of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce.

 

Recently she received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, in recognition of her commitment to healthy living in Canada.
