  • Ken Auden announced the Community Service Committee was extending funding to the following organizations:
    • Sew on Fire 
    • Oakville Parent-Child Centre
    • Restore Program, Maple Grove United Church 
 
  • Ken Auden announced that a funding request had been received by all 3 Oakville clubs in regard to the Bridging the Gap program of Halton Children's Aid.
 
  • Ken Auden announced the Community Volunteer Awards are now accepting nominations. If you want to nominate a club member or club committee please send your nominations to Raj at rphalpher@gmail.com so that he can prepare a coordinated submission. Additional details are below.
 
  • Cathy Whittaker announced that the camping and clothing items that had been lent to Mell were not available for pick up. Thanks to all who contributed!
 
  • Mell Caneva announced that he was willing to accompany anyone going skiing or snowboarding.
 
  • Bob Gardner announced that the Weekly Courier would soon be going on vacation until March 29. He said May but he meant March.

  • Ken Auden announced that the Battle of the Chefs event will occur on April 4. Please see below for additional details. 
  • Ken Auden announced that in keeping with the Rotary International initiative to have every Rotarian plant a tree arrangements have been made with the Town of Oakville to supply us with trees, equipment and a location for tree planting in the morning on Saturday April 21.  Please mark  the date in your calendars. The back up date is May 5. See some of the details near the end of the Courier.
