On Thursday October 8th, the Club had the rare pleasure of listening to one of Canada’s top athletes. Jacqueline Madogo came to talk to us about her career and the CAN Fund and the CAN Fund #150 Women.

Jacqueline is one of Canada’s leading sprinters, competing in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay. She made her Olympic debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, representing Canada in all three events and becoming an Olympic finalist.
Since Paris, Jacqueline has continued to establish herself among the world’s best sprinters. She has represented Canada at the NACAC Championships, World Championships and World Relays, advancing to finals and playing an important role on Canada’s sprint teams.
In 2025, Jacqueline reached another major milestone when she became a World Relay Gold Medalist, winning gold in the mixed 4x100m relay. Her performances have continued to demonstrate not only her extraordinary speed, but the determination and work ethic behind it.
CAN Fund offers 2 applications a year to which summer, winter, able-bodied and para-athletes representing Canada on the world stage can apply.
Each athlete is eligible to receive up to $16,000 a year from CAN Fund ($8000 per application) and gives the money directly to the athlete for them to use towards their journeys. To learn more about CAN Fund….Click Here
CAN Fund #150Women began as a campaign and quickly transformed into a community of women with a shared vision of supporting female athletes who compete for Canada and each other. Over 5000 women from across Canada are CAN Fund #150Women members. Every woman is making a donation of $150 or more and giving female athletes the opportunity to afford new equipment, extra physiotherapy, proper nutrition, coaching, and pay for flights to training camps and competitions. CAN Fund #150Women members are also sharing their knowledge, passions, networks, and building a community of women that show up for each other. To learn More about CAN Fund #150Women…Click Here
