The Rotary District 7080 Interact Conference 2026 was held on April 11, 2026 at Iroquois Ridge High School in Oakville.
The conference brought together inspiring students who are actively involved in their respective Interact Clubs across District 7080. They proudly showcased their club-based projects focused on fundraising and community service, all aimed at creating a lasting impact locally and globally — a true reflection of the vision Paul Harris had when founding Rotary in 1905, to unite business and professional leaders in service and goodwill.
Dr. Liliana Chocarro, Miles Ross and Yash Maroli led the teams composed of Rotarians and Interactors who worked tirelessly to deliver a meaningful and well-organized event. The program was developed by Interactors for Interactors, they were MCs, facilitated sessions and prepared instructions for all activities. Volunteers were Rotarians, Rotaractors and IRHS students.
Miles Ross and Liliana Chocarro spoke about the meaning of being part of the Rotary family and Rotary District 7080 Governor Susanne Zbinden, was present and reminded participants of the power of purpose and youth leadership in shaping a better world.
Throughout the day, Interactors tackled pressing societal issues and collaborated across various club members to propose creative, real-world solutions. One highlight was the recognition of nine Interact Clubs participating in the Grant Writing Initiative 2026. The participating Interact clubs submitted a grant application requesting funds from Rotary for a charity they choose in their community. The awards from the District and the sponsor Rotary clubs were around $1,000 and will be given directly to the charities thanks to the Interact clubs’ teamwork, creativity, and commitment to service.
The Interact Conference 2026 was more than an event — it was a celebration of service, collaboration, and leadership in action.
The future is bright with Interactors leading the way!
