To all our previous donors of bottles and cans, we cannot thank you enough. Over the last year your support has allowed the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar to raise close to $20,000 for those in need. Your ongoing contributions will continue to help us help others, both locally and internationally.

Recent examples of how we have used raised funds:
  • Supporting food security through Food Banks in Oakville and across Halton.
  • Providing Covid equipment for the hospital and PPE for several local charities.
  • Halton Women's Place, providing safety and support for women and children.
  • Feeding the hungry in Guatemala and Honduras during Covid and supporting job training.
  • Assisting with educational supplies for an elementary school in Guatemala.
  • Providing medical equipment for a clinic in Guatemala that serves the poor and trains medical staff.
  • Helping to send new and used soccer gear to impoverished children and youth overseas.
  • Supporting Rotary’s Polio Plus program to eradicate polio worldwide.
  • With the other Oakville Rotary clubs, funding the annual Oakville Rotary Education Awards.
  • Providing Educational Scholarships for Indigenous students

Have You Ever Wanted to Know More About Rotary or Considered Joining?
Did you know that Rotary International is consistently rated as one of the most efficient service and fundraising organizations in North America because each Rotary Club is run entirely by volunteers and is self-financing from membership fees? This allows us to focus on our goal of ensuring that 100% of all funds raised go directly to people, projects, agencies or frontline charities serving people and communities in need, both locally and internationally.

The four Rotary Clubs in Oakville, and the Rotaract Club of Halton (members aged 18-30 years), are always looking for new members who share our passion for community service, and who would enjoy the company of our diverse membership.

The clubs meet on different days and times (morning, noon, and evening). During Covid we continue to meet via Zoom. Visit www.rotaryoakville.ca for more details. You are welcome to join a meeting as a guest to see what Rotary is all about.

Many thanks for your ongoing support!
