Climate Change & What We Can Do To Take Action Locally
We are the Youth Climate Change Association Of Oakville. We advocate for more serious action when dealing with the climate crisis in Oakville and the surrounding area. We are determined to ensure that as a community we can continue to take significant steps towards tackling climate change. To do so we will accomplish short and long term goals in partnership with other concerned individuals and organizations. We have led and participated in many initiatives in the community. Our Highway 413 petition was read to the Ontario Legislature by Mike Schreiner (Green Party Ontario). We spoke to the Halton Regional Council to aid in the movement to stop-sprawl. We have also attended multiple stop-sprawl and stop Highway413 rallies.

We will be speaking to the Rotary Club about our group, how the club and their values connect to climate change and local issues they should take action on.
