Oakville Community Foundation - Oakville's Vital Signs

Wendy has been the CEO of the Oakville Community Foundation since September 2015.  Prior to the Foundation, she served as VP Corporate Affairs at Oakville-based FCT (First Canadian Title), the largest provider of title insurance in Canada She also served as the President of the FCT Charitable Foundation and as the VP Public Affairs & Treasurer for the Title Insurance Industry Association of Canada.

Wendy is the past Chair of the Board of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce and the former host of “In Good Company” a joint production of the Chamber and Cogeco TV. Wendy is a Board member of the Tarion Warranty Corporation. She has previously served on more than 10 other not-for-profit and charity boards including the Ontario Arthritis Society, and the Halton Learning Foundation. Wendy has a Masters degree in political studies from Queen's University and has completed the ICD, Institute for Corporate Directors at Rotman School of Business.

Like other of her siblings, Wendy was a Rotary summer exchange student and her parents hosted many rotary exchange students from Finland, Norway, Australia, UK, New Zealand and Mexico. Her father is a 52 year member of Rotary District 555 in Winnipeg and has 2 Paul Harris Fellowships.

Wendy lives in Oakville with her husband, Peter ; daughter, Katerina, who prefers to be called Katie, and does not like her legal name and their retired Lions Foundation black lab, Zora.
