Pam Calvert is a retired Canadian History teacher who taught for the Halton District School Board for 25 years. She has a passion for remembrance and commemoration of Canadian soldiers in the First World War and Second World War.  She has taken six student battlefields tour to France, Belgium and Italy. The highlight of these tours has been the visit to the Juno Beach Centre and to the local D-Day cemetery where her students honoured soldiers they had researched. Her volunteer role as the Education Consultant with the Juno Beach Centre Association started in 2007 and involves the Summer Institute Battlefields Teacher Tour, the Fellowship Program, Education Advisory Committee, community outreach, promoting the Juno Beach Centre through the use of social media, updating the JBC website Educational resources to reflect the importance of Historical Thinking concepts and promoting the Lest We Forget soldier research project to teachers across Canada.
