Zoom Meeting
Brian Hall, Rotary Club of Grand Bend, Global Literacy Project

Brian has been a lifelong resident of Grand Bend, in one way or another. As a child he spent summers at his Grandfather’s cottage, north of the Bend. In 1979 he and his wife Irene moved there full time where they enjoy Lake Huron, winter and summer.

In 1982 he opened his financial planning practice which began as a one-person operation, eventually growing Waypoint Financial Group Inc. into an independent Financial Planning firm serving clients all over southwestern Ontario from offices in Grand Bend and London. He retired in 2016 and has since had more time to work on Rotary projects.

A 30-year charter member of the Rotary Club of Grand Bend, he was Club president in 2003-04. He is currently a board member and chairs the Global Literacy Committee which has recently shipped the 91st sea container of surplus school supplies to areas of need overseas.

Brian & Irene enjoy many types of outdoor activities including skiing and cycling but their first love involves the water. The Halls have cruised the famous North Channel and Georgian Bay extensively and chartered sailboats in the Caribbean. They sailed their 39-foot sailboat across the Atlantic Ocean in 2007 & 2008 and were “Commuter Cruisers” throughout the Mediterranean until returning the boat to Lake Ontario in 2016. Their latest sailboat, “Niethe” is currently in Lake Huron awaiting the next adventure.
