President Bryant Stevener made the following announcements:
- In Mike Griffin’s absence, Bryant Stevener will preside over the roadside pick-up tomorrow at 8:00am
- District 7870 Conference May 3, 4 & 5
- Capital City Club will meet at Windmill Restaurant next week on Thursday at 7:00am

- Dave Gazaway- Car show- May 18th.
- Selling T-Shirts for car show- $12 –payment by the 3rd of May. Make checks out to the Foundation. Please sign up on sign-up sheet being circulated.
- Have 50 Pre-registered cars
- Volunteer sign-up sheet going around- need volunteers for the parking task
- 60 road signs need to be placed next week
- If you have giveaways for the goodie bags – please get them in
- Rotary International: Bryant Stevener received a notification in the mail that Jeannie Richards has earned a Paul Harris plus 2 recognition. Congratulations was acknowledged by all. Well Done Jeannie!!

- Michael Fortier– 60 years old Wife has retired, they have been on some trips to Italy & Florida. Work is going good, and has a new grandson - #2.

Program: Todd Fahey – AARP
Todd is the State Director of the NH AARP. 31,000 members strong. Todd previously practiced Law at Orr and Reno. Lives in Bow.
AARP support legislation that supports the aged population, Non-partisan group, assisting in caregiving services. Not an Insurance Company. Social Security is a big concern for the organization.
NH is the 2nd oldest state in the country, with an unemployment rate around 2½%, and with the younger generations leaving the state, the state will be relying on the older generations for a work force. 30% of older folks have pension, but 70% don’t – so they have to work.
AARP supports affordable housing initiatives, like the Accessory Dwelling program, just implemented, so that younger generations are able to become caregivers moving forward.
Prescription drug program also a high priority’s.
Medicare is a driver for the increasing deficit.
Bryant Stevener closed the meeting with a toast to Rotary at 8:27.
