  • President Judy presented new Bow Rotary member Michelle Olivier who was sponserd by Linda Lorden. Michelle weas welcomed as a new member and said a few words indicating she was delighted to join.

Program:  
Rotarian announcing speaker(s): Sandy Eldredge  introduced David Hawk with “Engineers Without Borders”.
 
David’s presentation was entitled  "Sustainable Support for Communities to Achieve their Basic Needs“  David indicated that EWB is a non-profit humanitarian organization that partners with communities to design and build engineering projects such as water supply needs, water treatment , construction and sanitation. He discussed two recent projects; one in Gwase, Uganda and one in San Pedro de Casta , Peru. He discussed the challenges involved with Assessing and Implementing chlorination and clean water useage in San Pedro de Casta and the succesful building of 3 wells in Gwase,Uganda region which now delivers clean water to this community.
